This has been one crazy weekend. I was just hanging out on the patio, enjoying the cool weather, when visitors arrived. Like most of our visitors, they were very into me!
I showed them where to scratch me, my favorite toys, and how I will sit for a treat. They were awesome! And then guess what? They pulled up early this morning, opened the car door, and said, “Jump in! We’re heading to Minnesota!”
I have no idea where that is, but who passes up a happily ever after with a family who loves you? Not me!
I have loved my time in rescue and am very thankful to now have a family of my own. Cheers!
I will be the first to tell you: this has been the hardest week of my life. And my mom’s life. Neither one of us saw this coming. Ever since we knew this was going to happen, we have not stopped crying. Bad things really can happen to good people, and you can’t always control the situation.
I am 5 years old and weigh just under 90 lbs. My fur is soft as velvet and white as snow. My harness says it all: “I Like Treats.” Even though I am “thick,” I really don’t eat a lot. My favorite treats are watermelon and bananas.
I have a favorite bed, blanket and toys. I packed all of those.
I like the lady dogs, but the guys? Not so much. I don’t know if it is because they are intimidated by my good looks, but every time I see a fella, they want to get in my face and then the fight is on.
My ideal living arrangement is me being the only dog in the house. And if you travel that is a huge plus. I can be loaded up at a moment’s notice. All I need to see are the car keys and the leash, and once I hear the words, “Let’s go,” I’m gone!
I love kids, any size. My mom had grandkids and we played together a lot.
My mom’s biggest desire is that I find a family soon and that I don’t stay in rescue long. She wants you to know I am sensitive and I most likely will have a hard time if I keep moving. I am a creature of habit ~ I knew every inch of my home. Now I am learning my new foster home and soon, I will learn a forever home. That’s a lot of learning for a 5-year-old fella.
So, please, if you are happy with just one Bulldog, maybe that one can be me? I promise you I am the best of the best and I am as sweet as can be.
9/6/22 Update: On Wednesday, a big red truck pulled up at the vet clinic and I jumped in! I have been hanging out at my new foster house for the last couple of days.
Foster Mom says I get an A+ for behavior. I know just where to go potty and I’m as sweet as can be. When you open up the back door, I head right out and do my business.
I enjoy watching the people and dogs go by on the trail. Foster Mom says we’re going to go for some walks soon to see how I do on leash. I LOVE scratches and being next to people.
Although I’m a big guy, I can jump right up on the couch. I prefer to not be in a crate, but do just fine in one if I’m lured in with treats. I am quiet all night long… well, if you don’t count my snoring.
I also love my toys. The ones that squeak are the best! I’m not very fond of sharing toys or attention with other dogs, so my ideal furever home would be free of other fur. I’ll check back in soon!
