Today, I joined rescue and it was a great day for me!
I got up this morning and had a spa day, brushed my teeth and combed my hair. My family told me I would love where I was going and they are right. I already do!
Because my living situation was changing and a senior family member was moving in, it was decided I needed a new home.
The last thing I wanted to happen was this sweet senior accidentally falling on me … or falling because of me. You see, I like to stay right under foot. Not that I am nosey ~ I just like to be where the action is. I am not very big. In fact, I’m small. That’s why it’s important that no one falls on me.
I love every dog that I’ve ever met. I also love kids and they love me. And what I like most of all is water. I know how to lay on a tanning ledge of the pool and get my tan on. I know how to fly down a slip-n-slide. I know how to splash in the bathtub and I know how to sit in my water bowl. I just love water. I am so happy it’s summer now because there’s a lot of water out there waiting for me.
I am going to sit in Dr. Larsen’s lap this week. She’s going to fix my eyes so I can see better, do a little surgery on the other end and tell me how beautiful I am. I hear she’s a sucker for a white Bulldog.
7/1/22 Update: Yesterday, this dude, he called himself Foster Dad, came to the vet clinic and loaded me up to help me find my forever family.
As you can see, I was ready to jump right in… I just needed a little help because I’m short. Once inside, I was ready to go.
Ol’ Foster Dad and I went for a long drive and then I got to meet some other puppies. Four of them looked just like me.
I’ll be posting some more updates after I explore this place and get comfortable.
Stay tuned for more updates on Bella’s Big Adventures!
7/4/22 Update: Hello everyone, Bella Bea reporting back in on my Big Adventure.
I have been in my foster home for a few days now and I am fitting right in with the other resident puppies. There are 7 of us running around…well mostly sleeping unless it is meal time.
Here are some things I have to say about myself.
1-I love attention. I love to be petted and lay in someone’s lap, have my ears scratched and get a butt scratching.
2-I am really good about going outside to do my business. I only had one accident in the house and that was right after I got here. I was nervous and scared and couldn’t help myself. Now when I need to go I stand at the door and ring the bell.
3-I love treats and meal time. Foster dad says I am food motivated but I am not aggressive when it comes to food. I know the sound of the treat jar and I want to be the first in line. I also know what the food bin sounds like and like to be first in line for that too.
4-I follow foster dad around the house to make sure I don’t miss anything. I’m like his little shadow.
5-I play with the other dogs and we all get along just fine. Well, except for that one female bully…she doesn’t get along with any of us dogs. She’s a bit of a prima dona.
6-When I get tired I go to my crate and lay down and sleep. Speaking of which, I am starting to get a bit sleepy now.
Pretty soon foster mom and dad and I are going to start looking thru the applications to find my forever home. If you haven’t gotten yours in yet you may want to hop to it and maybe we will be a match.
