Sweet June Carter hit the jackpot today and waltzed right on into her furever home with Brody Bear and a wonderful Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue family. June’s foster family will miss this beautiful girl and her sweet snuggles. Happy trails, June Carter!
Underweight and with severe flea bite allergies, June Carter originally joined an all-breed rescue group, but was transferred to our group so she could get all the help she needs.
On Thursday, June was spayed, had seven breast tumors removed and multiple teeth extracted because most of them were rotten. We also had to remove an adenoma from her back leg.
It’s obvious she’s likely been bred multiple times. It’s also likely her babies sold for thousands of dollars, yet her owners didn’t think enough of her to at least keep her healthy. Unfortunately, her owners probably just considered her a cash cow…. a moneymaker who was sadly covered in fleas.
Dr. Larsen estimates June Carter to be about 5 years old. She’s sweet, scared and looking forward to the next half of her life with a family who will love and treat her as she deserves. We pray her lab results from the breast tumors show them to be benign.

9/6/22 Update: June Carter’s not singing the blues anymore! Today is Labor Day and this working girl is happily retired and cancer-free! Her tumors were all benign! YIPPY!
She is a sweet, petite, little thing weighing in at a modest 35 pounds. And this little lady LOVES love! Who’s ready for sweet June? Raise your paws!

9/26/22 Update: June Carter would like to thank all of her fans for coming out to see her at Hollywood Feed today. She’s not in Johnny’s shadow anymore! This sweet girl made so many new potential best friends. She is ready to find the right furever home and sing her sweet songs all night long!
